Bahrain Qualifying
Ferrari 1-2 with Button 3rd.
What did you guys think of the format? I have mixed feelings. I think for the live crowd, it was probably more exciting, but for the TV audience? meh.......
Cameras jumping around, fast scrolling graphics - still haven't learned some of the name abbreviations and their new teams. Maybe I'll get used to it...
I enjoyed the single car hot lap format from last year.

Haha.
Ferrari looks quick, i don't know about the fuel loads. Nobody does but there's no doubting their speed. Besides, if i was a betting man, i wouldn't count out MS. I've seen him run light before, set blistering times and make up for an extra pit=stop so who know?
RB looks very slow and was a full secons behind JB, i doubt he will be able to pick it up but i hope he can. Alonso looks quick and will be challenging. I still have reservations about whether JB will fight the way he needs to against the likes of MS and FA when the chips are down.
Can't wait for tomorrow!

Personally I think it's going to end up being
1. MS
2. Montoya (Pulling something out of no where and potentially putting someone into a gravel trap because of it)
3. Button
The changes in tire rules help Ferrari more than anyone else. They've always had superior compounds, and after last season I think it's fairly obvious that was a large factor in their ability to be competitive. I suspect we will see Ferrari back on top this year. Honestly whoever wins, congrats to them, I just want entertainment. The only team I'm loyal to is Porsche
Oh yeah, and it doesnt look like we'll have to deal with a trulli train this race, that's a nice thing.

talk about a historic morning..
MS tied Senna's record !!! woo hoo !!
kimi's probably gone back to his trailer room to review his Ferrari contract , and Fernando's gone back to review his McLaren contract , to see if there's an "out" clause..

I liked the new format. It was especially fun to watch everyone scramble in the first period with only four minutes and change to get in a flying lap. The first half of the final period was not terribly interesting, but everyone was setting up for their fast lap. Overall, thumbs up here.
Oh, and did Kimi lick his plate or step on cracks or something as a child to bring on the worst luck in F1?

i saw it live 3am, dogs woke me up. the qualifing format was about what i expected. the first two stints looked like warm ups and practice laps with the last stint being go out and rip a good lap come in tweeck and run again. now if they could just bring back the qualifing engines. still trying to figure out fuel loads. if ,as marco thinks, the feraris are real light, than they must be on a 3 stop. pull away early, stop 11 or 12 lap, run another 24 laps stop, fill and go to the end. do you think any of the top 6 are on a 2 stop? also the sand will cause a few more spins as drivers get pushed off line race day, as mpd47 counts on jpm making his way around. kimi is going to just walk away from mclaren soon. but for now he'll make another mad dash up the field and finish 3rd behind 2nd place rb and 1st place ms. are toyotas sandbagging or do they really really suck, were the drivers were lost in the desert sands? i keep thinking toyota is the next big thing and yungotts.
