I really like the design, it seems that there is room to increase and decrease the amount of downforce generated by metering how much air moves through the center and how much is released to the sides.

Very cool video showing exactly how they are acquiring so much downforce. Not only that, but it creates such dirty air behind them it is very hard for other teams to follow close. It also shows how most of the rear diffusers for the S2000 are pointless because they can't get the airflow they need...

as much as i like seeing new teams at the top of the current standings, it would be nice if ferrari or mclaren or both fighting alongside the brawns and the toyota.

the 2nd video definitely shows the advantage because when they slow it down on SpeedTV it makes you wonder how that little V gap can produce so much down force...

Lots of engineers are going to be burning the late night oil now making up these new trick diffusers for their cars. Can't wait to see what teams get them done first.

I suspect it will be BMW Sauber. They have indicated that they want to build a lighter version of the car for Kubica so they can put KERS on it. Dunno if that is legal?

its all about how the rear end is designed. they can add a brawn diffuser to a ferrari or a bmw but the benefits might not be be the same. the diffuser is one part of the downforce but its also the cars rear end design.

see the difference...

the car below will need a lot more than a brawn diffuser.

it needs this. http://www.streetracersonline.com/gallery/...ormal_ricer.jpg
