Ah...good times...it's too bad Kimi had problems at the first pit stop. I was looking forward to a close race between FA and KR. Anyhow, as soon as the chequered flag was out, I sprinted like I've never sprinted before down to the podium and thanks to a year of dedicated training for this, made to the closest I've ever been to the podium. Woohoo!

Close enough to feel a bit of the spray in the air. Was in a big mess of Alonso fans flying the Oviedo and Renault flags so he waved to us too.

Nice job Shane!

Oh what a great race. We are now 1/2 way through the season and it is looking like a FA, MS, KR show for sure. McLaren is in no position to win though. Evey week it is somthing, and KR's pit stop this weekend was just another example of McLaren confusion...

renaualt reliablity is fantastic, a friend of mine was at montreal and told me that for the final qualifing the renaults qued up and idled for several minutes so as to be first out. thta team is set on cruse control the rest of season.

Been taking hits off the crack pipe of optomism?

You might want to look at the manufacturer's championship points to date; they don't substantiate your claims... It's the same thing as last year with McLaren, I don't care how fast the car is, if they don't finish a bunch of races because of mechanical problems then no one is going to convince me it is a "better package".

But I do agree with ya about Renault.

yeah i know where they are in the points but when it is going, kimi can almost keep pace with alonso until he pits.

Doug,

Normally I'd agree with you but after reading this I have to agree with ytdlite. McLaren is coming on strong.
