Default engine have to last three races next season

directly from formula1.com:

The FIA confirmed on Wednesday that from next season Formula One engines must last for three Grand Prix meetings. Engines were required to last for two events in 2008. The move is part of the governing body

To me it means they will do MORE testing and development to try and get the engines to last longer.

Which will only cost MORE for the teams who can afford to do it.

While the teams who can NOT afford to do extra testing and development will be in the back like they usually are.

Honda gets alot of my freakin' money They better start using it wisely

Oh man, more chance for the Hondas to blow up... oops did i say that aloud?

These rules are so stupid. The costs will be huge; this is not an endurance series, let them run as many engines as they want and let's see what technology they can come up with!!

Honda needs to take their top engineers away from the "green" cars and back into the racing department so they can come up with a competitive car again.

I agree Ellen. I think it will be more costly in development to satisfy this rule then the cost to use more engines under the current rules.

Well all the teams that make engines are pretty fast. Mercedes, Ferrari, BMW, Renault, Toyota. sorry Honda.

Bottom teams: Force India, Williams

Privateers: Force India, Williams, Toro Rosso, Red Bull

This only affect manufactures who have to put the $$$ into further R&D to extend longevity of the engines.

For the privateers, they don't have much to worry about. They kinda reep the benefits. Privateers need to just make chassis better. Thats why they're slow.

Not sure if they're engine leases for existing contracts will go up. $

well in theory the costs should go down since they're not getting as many engines.
