Heard during the coverage this morning that Schumi's wife might be filing for divorce because he wants to get back into racing, and shes not wanting it...

That's going to be an expensive divorce.

Kimi's salary has to somehow be inaccurate...there's no way he can command that much of a premium over the other drivers. Maybe it was somehow a one-time singing bonus factored in or something?

Good

How much did Shumi make?
If I remember correctly Schumi made the most money over the course of his career than any other athlete as of 2007....which means he still is in the lead by a long shot, even Michael Jordan, Tiger Woods, etc.

Still surprised by Raikkonen's salary!

maybe michael jordan, but schumi never beat tiger in annual salary or total. Tiger is set to become the first billionaire athlete.

^You are correct from 2004 on but it was not until we moved into 2005 that Tiger Woods was ahead of his yearly earnings, and it was only by 300K.

Schumacher = $80 million

Tiger = $80.3 million

From 2004 and previous Schumacher dominated over Tiger's salary. Schumi made over $6 million more than Woods in 2001, and 2002 was reported at making close to $80 million and held steady to retirement.

Much of the driver's salaries are tied to what sponsorships they can bring to the table and I think that Kimi has Marlboro locked up. And LH has Johnnie Walker. Gotta love booze and cigarettes.
