I have heard Kimi's not too pleased with the Mercedes engine. I think reliability will be key, especially early on, and I think there will be too many DNFs for McLaren to be in it this year.
After seeing JB kiss the wall at the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve last year, I really do not think he is the better driver. Rubens will have more points at the end of the year than JB.

My prediction based on current testing and recent events:
WDC
1. M. Schumacher
2. F. Alonso
3. K. Raikonnen
CC
1. Renault
2. Ferrari
3. McLaren
What I would like to happen:
WDC
1. Fernando Alonso (Just so he can show people it's not about the F1 politics, and that there will be true team support, for the time being, along with driver's skills. Plus I met him briefly in Brazil last year, and the guy is a true gentleman)
2. Kimi Raikonnen (if they can get the McLarens's reliability up to par. On his best days, he is an awesome F1 pilot)
3. Jenson Button (Rooting for Honda, but how likely is this to happen?)

I will agree with these 2 people. They seem VERY logical!
Michael Schumacher has added his weight to Honda Racing F1's title bid, saying that the combination of Rubens Barrichello and Jenson Button will be a tough one to beat.
"Jenson has really matured as a driver," explained Schumacher at this weeks Valencia test, "and it looks like Honda have produced a fine car. If they keep that pace up, then we [Ferrari] probably have reason to worry."
Fernando Alonso is uncertain of how the championship may play out in 2006, tipping Honda Racing F1 drivers Rubens Barrichello and Jenson Button as possible winners.
"I will have the number one on my car so probably at the start of next season people will make me out as one of the favourites to win," explained Alonso. "But the McLaren drivers, Michael Schumacher, Renault and probably the Honda drivers - if it's good enough in the winter tests - can all be champions in 2006."

I don't think Fernando Alonso can repeat this season. Renault and Alonso will have an increasingly difficult time working with each other as the season progresses, especially during the second half of the season when the team will start withholding information from Alonso on the car and development and his status goes to a "need to know" basis.
IMO by announcing his move to McLaren a year before it actually happens, Alonso threw away his season.
