Ferrari considering running 3rd car
Ferrari Admits Looking At Third Car For Michael Schumacher
Luca di Montezemolo has revealed that, even before Felipe Massa's crash, he was already planning to ask Michael Schumacher to return soon to formula one.
The Ferrari president told Italy's Oggi magazine: "I had been thinking for a long time of a third car for Michael."
Montezemolo said he therefore "immediately thought about" the 40-year-old German when he knew Brazilian Massa would need to be replaced at forthcoming races this season.
Montezemolo said Schumacher agreed immediately when asked to step in for the injured Massa, but F1 chief executive Bernie Ecclestone has revealed that he was surprised to hear the good news.
"I think I was as surprised as his manager Willi Weber," the F1 chief executive said.

Thats awesome news. That way Schumi gets to race while Massa also gets back into a car. Rumors are swirling around Renault, Toyota, and Mercedes withdrawing. If that were to happen, then perhaps 3 cars per team will be a good way of making up numbers for the grid.

I've pretty well dropped out, of watching F1 that is. Next year doesn't even interest me. This same time last year I was starting to get excited about this year.

i know they were pitching ideas of 3 cars per team, but i don't see it happening. i'd be cool to get MS back racing full time again in F1, but i think finishing out this year is his one and only encore appearance. if he starts pulling a Bret Favre someone, please, just shoot him.
