Default First Brawn, now Alonso?

I know this doesn't mean anything, but would be huge news for honda if it became a reality.

I know a lot of people are not fond of Alonso, but I for one would be pretty excited byt this prospect. Brawn + Alonso + Button =

One of those people but I'd sure be excited by Honda having more than one win per decade

No fond of Alonso's character, but highly respect him as a driver.

I'm crossing my fingers he will come to Honda. With Brawn
and Alosno on the same team, there's no excuse not to
be in the top three or even winning the title within a couple
of years.

Honda getting Brawn is probably the best chance for Alosno
climbing on board. Both champions..

Sounds like a winning combination. Don't think they could take on the powerhouses of McLaren and Ferrari, but could give BMW a run for their money.

Prior to this season, I though a lot of Alonso. Even while winning his two championships, you rarely saw the usual tabloid crap around him. He seemed (to me at least) a pretty level headed guy. Quick in the car, and pretty unassuming outside of it.

I won't judge his character on the basis of this season alone. There have been a number of ex-McLaren drivers who have been happy to leave the team.... ask Prost or Montoya, and to a lesser extent Kimi.

I guess Honda is at a crossroads of sorts. They need to jump in with both feet or get out. Alonso brings a lot to the team and this could be his greatest challenge yet.

not in this lifetime

and not by this Button

I don't like JB or FA; but I have no doubts in my mind FA is way faster than JB.

Honda need an injection of new blood in the race seat.. Alonso, like him or love him, will definitely bring new life to a team lacking confidence.
