Default Honda Racing has been saved and will run with

[QUOTE]The Honda Racing team has been saved! After announcing their withdrawal from Formula One at the end of the 2008 Championship season, the Brackley based squad has succeeded in fending off the ultimate disaster and will be on the 2009 grid when the season gets underway in Melbourne, Australia next month.

According to our sources, Honda were looking at reversing their decision, but their participation would not have been complete, instead they would put up just enough to keep the team running temporarily in order to keep the future sale viable. By doing this it would be less expensive than actually closing things down for good. However, this is no longer necessary.

The new backer of the Honda Racing team is still shrouded in mystery for the time being, but we have been told that the driver line up will be Bruno Senna and Jenson Button and that the new car will more than likely be powered by Mercedes

Ok all you die-hard Honda fans, how do you feel about this?
Seriously, how could they do that?
I would think it would be better to die as Honda, than be know for the Honda team that can't run their own engines...

Doug,
Honda is paying part monies because its cheaper than paying the layoff of 700 people.
They can call it Honda for now, but all Honda is, is the debt holder.
Once new team is offically named the word Honda will not be attached, as it says above the chassis was altered.

It will be the french Fry Bratwurst Brawn Mercedes Snivley F1 Team

As ONLY a Honda F1 Racing Team fan, all I can say is I look forward to their 4th tenure in F1 in the future

If powered by MBZ I wouldn't call it the Honda team. Call it Stryker-three-you're-out or something else.

You know what would be awesome....if Porsche rolled into F1, and stomped a mudhole on everyone within a 3-4 year time-frame. Hell, they would be the one company that can do it.
