I should have signed Jenson Button for Ferrari, admits Brawn boss

jenson button

Ross Brawn has hailed Jenson Button as a class racer and says he was wrong not to sign him at Ferrari.

The design genius reckons the 29- year-old, who has won the opening two races of the season at a canter, is "revitalized" now that he is at the wheel of a winning car.

Amazingly, in a sport crammed with towering egos, Brawn says Button may have been overlooked by Ferrari because of his humble attitude.

At least twice in the last decade he has been linked with the Italian legends, while Brawn was head of car design, but it came to nothing.

"That might have been a mistake," admitted Brawn. "It's just so difficult to judge people. Jenson is a pretty low-profile guy in many ways.

Ah, but Marco is only loyal to drivers while they are part of Honda. Once they leave, he hates them just like the rest of the drivers on the grid.

I'm not a Jenson hater. I actually support Rubens but I have to give props to Jenson. I have always thought he was a good driver just stuck with a really bad chasis. BrawnGP, Ross, Jenson and Rubens have proved a lot in these two short races. BrawnGP is a fresh breath of air to F1. I hope they go far and maybe win the constructors or dirvers title. With BrawnGP, Toyota, Red Bull and Williams this season is going to be the most exciting and unpredictable in recent memory.
