Honestly, If my wife did not work at Castrol's head-office, I wouldn't know much about Force or really pay much attention to the NHRA but you have to give the man credit - - - - 14 titles in 17 years, total domination whatever your standard.
Don't know where NHRA stands in the motor racing rankings but running 20+ events, multiple qualifying runs each week, 4 victories to win the ladder on race day. Break down the entire drivetrain and rebuild and go out an hour later. Pretty impressive.
I've met him and his team at a few meet-and-greets, not quite the character that you see on TV in post-run interviews or his TV show (although his daughter are really good looking in person).
Just thought I would throw it out there.
I agree, I don't follow drag racing, and I don't find it very interesting, but 14 titles in 17 years is like you say, total domination. A very impressive accomplishment and clearly both the team and the driver all all working their butts off, and that I respect.
Of course, if this were F1 and it was Ferrari accomplishing 14 titles in 17 years all we would read about is how they are cheating.
I wonder if John Force has to deal with bs like that...

I saw his family show and it was amusing. Must be tough to have daughters!
Here's my John Force photo, taken at the Winter Nationals in 2000, I call it "Millenium Force," with a Nikon 990 digicam) --

So true! Also the FIA would be changing the rules to ensure the dominance would not continue....
I love many forms of racing. But I am addicted to NHRA. 1/4 mile in 4.4 sec. @330 mph!
4 Gs on go, 6 Gs on shut down! Drivers are approachable. Try that with F1. Feel it, hear it, see it, you'll love it!!
