I think Renault would be makimg a big error of they made GF the #1 driver. I think it is fine he renued with Renault, but I'm not so sure he is #1 material...
I'd buy this rumor. Who wouldn't be lining up to take FA's place at Renault? In my mind Renault has proven they have exactly what it takes. They finished enough races and qualified high enough often enough. Not that FA isn't a stunning driver. I look forward to McClaren finishing better next year...
I feel bad for Fisi. Because he's not able to keep up with FA and no way can HE blame the car, tires, or anything but himself! Did he just get old or did he never have it? I mean, we know Jacques V had it, once upon a time.

I'd love to see KR team up with MS. Maybe there would be parity between the drivers in terms of team support. Ferrari wouldn't be foolish enough to even ask KR to play second fiddle.
The Kimi to Renault move would be great for both Kimi and for Renault. I think that Fisi is being kept on for continuity and is no way thought to be a legit No. 1 driver once he is out of Alonso's shadow. He will be what DC was to McLaren until DC left McLaren.
The empty Renault seat has to be the most desired open seat, and being the No. 1 at Renault would beat being Michael's No. 2. Moving to Ferrari would make sense only if Michael were to retire. Even then, given MS' championships, and the fact that Ferrari is no longer dominating, I think the driver wo replaces MS as Ferrari's top driver will have a short carrer at Ferrari as the Tifosi will scorn any driver who is not immediately bringing home wins on a routine basis.
That Leaves McLaren with the difficult task of having JPM partnered with Alonso. I just don't see JPM ever working out where he is not the number 1, or arguably an equal with his team-mate, given his personality, and he will be the clear No. 2 to Alonso at McLaren. I also do not see JPM being desired by McLaren anyway, and with Alonso on board, do they really need JPM or would a newish driver eager to jump up or a decent driver with experience who would not mind being the no. 2 be better for McLaren?
My guess is JPM also has too big of an ego to move down the grid to a team that has only a longshot at winning, and so he may go back to ChampCar, especially if the IRL and ChampCar reunite on some level. As a former 500 winner, he would likely be a good magnet for sponsors in such a series, and he still has a following here in America.
