Default New 2007 Champ Car

Panoz

Lola

paddle shifters

looks like F1 and Champ Car got busy one day and this popped out.

i've always loved the look of the current champ cars over any other open wheel car. something about the shape and stance which looks unlike any other.

Isn't that a separate, long-winded, and politically contentious thread?

supposedly george and kalkhoven have talked but nothing has happened. tony george knows that his series is in trouble not just with attendance but sponsors and television ratings. he was gloating three years ago when he had chevy, toyota and honda supplying them with engines and now they're back to being a spec series. yes, champ car is the same but they draw a larger crowd at the races which sponsors like.

give it about a year or two and champ car will have the same popularity as it did back in the late 90's. with a more affrodable package there will be a lot more teams from the support series that will make the jump to champ car. which in turn will have more cars on the grid. at the moment they have 19 and i can see them having 24 by 2008. i haven't seen that since the mid to late 90's in carts heyday.

How many road courses does champ do per season, and I don't mean those crappy city street races, I mean real tracks like Watkins Glen or Mid Ohio, or Road America, or Road Atlanta, or Laguna Seca or...
