Now if they would only ban Renault's launch system...

What launch system? It was already revealed couple years back that Renault has a very rearward weight bias which is why it suffers from terminal understeer. Alonso makes it work since he's always trailing on the throttle towards the apex.
Sure....
and the above is to wieght bias the front end of the car.....
BTW - you gotta love how you can always find a pic of a Ferrari "cheating" but never another team! Okay maybe Honda and the dual tanks...sorry Nabeel/Marco
.
But even in this story, it's Renault that was "cheating" and others copied them (as they should until it is called to be outside of the rules) yet the story is still slanted towards Ferrari....
BTW - we still need to plan an F1 get together...

Did you miss the part of the post where I said you shouldn't get your thong in a knot?

Yes, yes we do. I'm glad we didn't do the French GP though...I would've fallen asleep on that comfy chair.

During the 11 hours of TV coverage by Speed TV for the USGP,
Steve Matchett did a bit inside the Ferrari garage, and showed this system. But, in his piece the thing and pics Balzz showed in NOT it. The ferrari had what looked like a giant shock conected to rear axel, then mounted basically to top of motor. He mentioned that Renault were the first to have this. This is what I thought they would ban. If they do, it will mean Renault and Ferrari will have problems..as well as McLaren. Now since those are the only teams that seem to be able to go fast in 06, I come to this conclusion:
Honda Racing F1 does not use this....
HONDA RACING F1 is going to win at Hockenheim!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is a really neat concept. I would have thought they couldn't spare 9 kg's plus spring & mounting weight. But if it improves handling THAT much... Some of the curb jumping is amazing, seen in slow-motion. I'm surprised more cars didn't wipe out in the French GP's last S-curve.
