Default no more Spa! :(

what a great shame to not have the best F1 track on the circuit, just because some douchey residents can't deal with the noise for one weekend.

I suspect it is more than noise.
some people just hate car racing and will look for any peg to hang their hat on.
in this case they found noise. the irony is the track has been there forever, so anyone who moved there knew the problem existed before they got there.

^^ How many residents do they have up in the Ardennes mountain ranges? They should just move all of them to another location so Spa can continue to host races. Pesky neighbors tssk! tssk!

I don't know why they're worried give it a year or 2 at the most and there won't be an F1

Well, in all fairness to the local residents, it's more than just F1. There is the Spa 1000km, F3 and probably numerous trackdays too. Still stupid. If you live next to, say, a racetrack or an airport, expect it to be noisy!

But Spa is on the 2010 calendar, published on Monday. Hopefully nothing will happen before next year, Spa is one of the greatest tracks.

yeah well, in that case why did they keep quiet about it from the beginning of time. Spa has had races for what 30-40 years now

noise? they mean the noise that curls your blood and pumps your adrenaline
the shrill of a 2.4 litre v8 at 18000 rpm, possibly the best sound an engine can ever make......that noise?
