Ralf: F1 doesn't belong in Indianapolis
10 July 2006
Ralf Schumacher would like to see the American Grand Prix hosted somewhere else. The Toyota driver hopes Formula 1 won't come back in Indianapolis next year. He believes F1 doesn't belong there. "Formula 1 is a number one event and shouldn't be part of something," he said.
"I hope we won't come back there," he told F1Racing.net. "I don't think Formula 1 belongs in Indianapolis. Formula 1 is a number one event and shouldn't be part of something. It might be a little harsh to say that to the fans, but on the other hand, it's America. People are flying there all the time, so they also would take a flight to Las Vegas or New York. I'm quite sure Americans like Formula 1 enough. They want a show. And we can give them a show if we want to. I've been in New York quite some times and I think it's more European style there than anything. So I guess a Grand Prix over there would stand a better chance."

Ralf is an idiot. I say just for him we have the Brooklyn F1 grand prix and he can find out just how "European" New York really is.
Speaking of Ralfie, look who I bumped into in Montreal:

What a Putz!

Wow, karwath , you are as much a fan as I am.
Having lived in Queens and worked in Manhattan, I would think NYC would be an extremely lousy venue for an F1 race...
