As I have a great deal of love for this track and a special attraction to Spa
I have been wondering when we would get some feedback on the changes. As I understand it Bernie himself has either bought the track or just plain invested a ton of money into it, one way or anothe, Bernie is very much vested, and because of that I can't help but think we will be watching cars fly through Eau Rouge for a long time to come.

whoa; they changed the bus stop from a left-right to a right-left?
never been a fan of asphalt run off at that track; if you mess up at pouhon, u'r supposed to be done. That's the penalty one pays for screwing up that corner; now they can drive right back as if nothing happened.
Asphalt run offs belong on test tracks like Paul Ricard where damage to the cars can be prevented.

Before

Now

This is also why they are talking about pit lane entrace being so different, it had to change based upon the change to this straight section.

As Bernie looks to do in the US GP I like him even less nowadays. Factor to that Bernie is very much financially vested in the Spa track, therefore the following issue will effect him.
There there Bernie, I hope it hurts...
Spa pit entry 'too dangerous'
11 July 2007 / Photos
Drivers running at the current test at Spa-Francorchamps have complained about the revised pit entry. The track has been changed in several places, most of which the drivers think are positive, except the new pitlane entrance, which is too narrow according to the drivers.

It could become a safety hazard and thus the GPDA has written to the FIA asking for it to be changed before the Belgian Grand Prix on 16 September.
Felipe Massa told GPUpdate.net: "The problem with the pit entrance is that it is too tight. If someone comes to a stop here you can't pass him, the pitlane entrance will be completely blocked. that is something we hope they can change."
