FIA suspends Renault from next F1 race

Renault has been suspended from the upcoming European Grand Prix after allowing Fernando Alonso to leave the pit lane with his tire not securely fastened to his car.
Governing body FIA said on Sunday after reviewing film and radio recordings from the Hungarian GP that the French team "is suspended from the next event in the Formula One" championship.
Alonso's right front tire popped off as he rounded turn No.9 and bounced wildly down the track.
The incident comes a day after safety was called into question when Felipe Massa was hospitalised with life-threatening injuries after a stray object struck him.
One week ago, an F2 driver was killed after losing consciousness and crashing into the barrier after a stray tire hit him.

call! This has happened so many times in the past with no penalty...
Its likely they will appeal and be reinstated successfully. The FIA has a history of known about turns. Besides Nando not driving in one of his home races, will be a damper on the race. Im pretty sure the locals are coming to watch Alonso and not Alguersari.

The whole problem is where do you draw the line, or how do you create rules that are fair and can be implimented.
It is entirely possible the Renault team was not aware they had not gotten the wheel on properly, and for sure, when FA realized he had an issue with the front he slowed. I think the FiA call is just another BS call.
HELL, if they wanted to make a call, what the f' about Brawn, they have indeed almost killed someone...

I dont have a problem with a penalty for what happened but i think the penalty is severe. They definitely deserved something for deliberately allowing FA to drive around knowing there is a very good chance the wheel would come flying off especially after seeing parts fly off from the car (see massa).
I think a lot of people are just pissy because its FA and the next race is Valencia.
