Welcome to the wonderful world of Nascar JPM...
It sounds to me like his temper got to him, he flipped someone the bird, and apparently NASCAR has some kind of rule about hand signals.
Why do I find this not surprising...
Montoya Fined, Placed on Probation by NASCAR
NASCAR announced today that Juan Pablo Montoya, driver of the No. 42 Dodge in the NASCAR Busch Series, has been fined $10,000 and placed on probation until Dec. 31 because of an inappropriate gesture made during a practice session this past Thursday at Phoenix International Raceway.
Montoya was in violation of Section 12-4-A (actions detrimental to stock car racing) of the NASCAR Busch Series rule book.

I guess JPM isn't white enough for NASCRAP. He and Stewart are the only ones who speak their minds, thumbs up for not being a a$$ kissing robots like all the rest. How about the rest of the "name" drivers who have done worse without any flak.

Even though I hate NASCAR, you have to realize that they truly know how to promote their business. And I give them credit for not letting some snot nosed, rich boys bring the business down. Ever see the video where Montoya runs into a cameraman (while in F1) and then freaks out at the cameraman? A true indication of the jerk he is!!!!

If I have to watch racing (rather than race myself) I don't give a squirt of plss if a driver eats puppies for dinner all I care is action on the track. In fact I'm watching Speed Report on tv and the have a commercial were you pay to join a club to meet their drivers. WTF? It's not like you going to be best friends with the guys. If you meet the fool and he says anything to you it's all scripted anyway.
That's why JPM and fatty Stewart are funny guys on tv, they never read their scripts.
