Default Ron Dennis is gone...

Oh I'm loving the media this morning.

Little Ronnie is going to step down and walk away from McLaren, or, did Mercedes tell him to get the hell out because they are tired of being linked to cheaters and liars?

A nightmare end in F1 for the Ron Dennis dream team
David Smith

The bond between Lewis Hamilton and Ron Dennis had always seemed unbreakable but today that partnership was poised to end with the McLaren boss making an undignified exit from Formula One.

Dennis's decision to severe all links with the sport is a consequence of the 'Liargate' controversy and although his relationship with the man he turned into a world champion is in tatters, the move could now save the world champion from a Grand Prix ban.

So, I wonder how his lies and cheating will help out the McLaren automotive group?

With Ronnie Dennis and Dave Ryan gone and questions surrounding Martin Whitmarsh's future, just exactly what does LH have left that might keep him at McLaren???

This is very odd since he is no longer running the team. It should have been Whitmarsh that stepped down...

I think RD is trying to distance himself and the roadcar division from the McLaren F1 division.

Note: Mclaren to launch new supercar...

But to add more oddness, he is always at the races and always working, so his not running the team is confused by the fact that it looked like he still was.

And Martin, I don't think is out of the clear. I would not be surprised if he too is gone after the hearing.

Just a little correction, he wasn't at Malaysia.
