^^ Felipe may not be replaced. Still too early to say if he is out of racing forever. One hopes he'll be back.

I think the logical choice, until Massa recovers, would be Marc Gene. But my heart wants Jacques back in the car....

i have to go on a rant here so bare with me:

these idiots who write in papers and in the blogs need to get shumi coming back out of their head, come on folks micheal is a great driver, possibly the greatest, but him getting back into the car is out of the question, he doesn't even have a super license anymore

END RANT

Schumacher - Ralph Schumacher.

Or, just bring Eddie Irvine back.

I think Michael getting back his superlicense is a technicality. How could they deny him?

I too don't think it would happen, but I'm old enough to remember Mike the Bike Hailwood come out of a long retirement, to go over to the Isle of Man and blow everyone away after being out of racing for something like 10 years.

It's ok to dream.
Prayers for Felipe.

JV sux, look when they put him in renault when they fired Trulli. Championship winning car and he sucked. I believe Flavio said that he was a waste of time to put him in the car.
JV is old and was never the same driver as 97. I couldn't take a guy who wears a race suit like MC Hammer serious.

Its like saying i want Eddie Irvine back in the car.

edit* just noticed Harpoon also mentioned eddie irvine too.

Although I am not a Ferrari fan, it'll be exciting to see Schumi back in the car to see if the old man still has it.

Picking a nit here, but the '04 Renault wasn't a championship winning car. They won in '05, but Trulli won Monaco in '04, so I guess it was a race winning car. I remember watching Jacques back in action near the end of the season, and he was just miles away from Alonso. Sad to see.

I agree, I just don't wish it were true - I don't think Jacques has it in him anymore. He keeps crashing in every race he enters, and Peugeot didn't even ask him back for Le Mans this year. Sad, but probably he needs a regular drive to just stay consistent.

Funny how the "who to replace Massa" question turned into harp on the ex-F1 racers thread LOL... though I am in agreement with all those rants on those "old" guys, especially JV --- sad to admit but true.

I don't want to contemplate the original question of replacing Massa though. Maybe let's say to substitute him while he's out (I dearly hope his F1 and racing career in general isn't over even though I am never a fan of him): it will have to be one of the reserved drivers as the logical choice: Luca Badoer or Marc Gen
