Some GP2 Talk

I just don't get to watch this stuff enough but still try to follow it. Why ?

The GP2 series as of late has proven to be THEE breeding ground for F1. Dunno why it has surpassed F3 in this role, but it just has. A new "breeder" may be the new A1 series, but that's yet to start.

For now, the GP2 series is heading for an intense finale between who i think are going to make an impact on F1 no doubt. They are Rosberg and Kovalainen.

Notables - Scott Speed who will ride full time with A1 team and be the tester in between races for Red Bull for 2006

Kovalainen - test driver for Renault 2006

Hiroki Yoshimoto - could well replace Taku Sato at Bar. Honda are keeping a watchful on this guy. If it still were David Richards' team, Davidson would have replaced Sato and this young japanese kid would be the test driver being groomed for a seat.

Mathias Lauda - Niki's Lauda's son is the worst of the bunch for reasons, even the old man is scratching his head over

1. NICO ROSBERG ART GRAND PRIX 102
2. HEIKKI KOVALAINEN ARDEN INTERNATIONAL 99
3. SCOTT SPEED ISPORT INTERNATIONAL 66.5
6. NEEL JANI RACING ENGINEERING 48
7. NELSON PIQUET JR HITECH PIQUET 46
8. GIORGIO PANTANO SUPER NOVA 43
9. GIANMARIA BRUNI COLONI MOTORSPORT 35
16. HIROKI YOSHIMOTO BCN 11
20. MATHIAS LAUDA COLONI MOTORSPORT 3

Why? I believe faster cars than F3, closer to F1. IIRC GP2 is the replacement for F3000 which used to be the main route to F1.
