Question Welcome Team Caterham

Autosport is reporting that Team Lotus may take over Caterham and possibly look at moving to a completely different name bringing to an end the dispute with ROTUS.

What do you guys think? I think it is interesting that a new car manufacturer is getting associated with F1.

Hmmm very interesting... Did Rotus and Team Lotus court date already happen? Anyone know what happen or is it happening next month?

I don't know how big or how much money Caterham makes, but will this help Team Lotus if they switch names?

Well Caterham is a low volume manufacturer of club racers. Possibly Tony Fernandes' money will help them build a more mainstream car. I think its a coup of sorts considering Caterham owns rights to building the Lotus 7 racer.

The way I see it TonyF is trying to consolidate his teams position by acquiring another asset. He already owns rights to the Team Lotus name. If he owns Caterham, he can put the iconic number "7" on the nose of his car and thumb his nose at Danny Bahar and ROTUS.

He may not just let ROTUS get away easily considering the association Caterham has with Lotus.

Gotta hand it to Tony F, the man is in it to win it. Here's hoping this team becomes an established player in F1 no matter what its called

Lotus is becoming serious about racing again. Also putting a lot of time and money into the Evora GT4 and the bespoke GT2 cars with the Cossie built Toyota V6
