benjam5's LBP Build Thread
So I finally decided to get all my pictures together an start my build thread from the beginning. Started off October 2009 when I was really looking into getting an S2. In November I thought it was a good idea to start gathering some parts that I knew I was to get anyways. So I found some parts used locally for good prices and I picked up the following items:
Toda Dolphin Tip Catback exhaust with test pipe
Custom header (J's rep I think)
Buddyclub N+ Spec coilovers

BYS Spoiler (Suzuka Blue at the time)

So I continued searching throughout the winter for either a GPW or LBP S2. Finally in the end of March 2010 I found my 2006 LBP. Waited about a month for it to come in but well worth it.

About a week after purhasing the car waiting for it to come in, I went and ordered my wheels
Went down to a local performance shop (Speed Factor Racing) and custom ordered a set of SSR Professor SP1's in an orange color that not a lot of people know they offer. Fronts were 17x9 +41 and rears were 17x10 +37.

Once the car came in and it was safetied, it stayed stock for 4 days before the suspension and exhaust went on

After 3 weeks of enjoying the car, the first accident...
I was the 3rd car back at a street light and the Ridgline in front of me decided he wanted to change lanes. Without looking he put it in reverse and drove right into me..

Obviously his hitch went right through the bumper, the hood buckled slightly, re-bar was completly dented in and the headlight tabs on either side were broken. Off to the bodyshop it went.

So the car was getting a new front bumper, re-bar, hood, and headlights. The front fenders were getting repaired and refinished. Since I know one of the bodymen and painter. I had some side deals done whie the car was in the shop. I had the front bumper shaved, rear truck emblem shaved, and the BYS painted.

Got the car back and I was very pleased with all the work that was done

Next me the CR Lip. Since its nOt offered here in Canada. I ordered one from a Honda Dealer in Grand Forks, drove down to pick it up then got it painted.

After that was doing the camber ball joints, rear diff spacers, and rolling the fenders with rear fender tab relocates. The plan was to have the car in the Driven Winnipeg Car Show. It was cutting it really close but the wheels came in a day before the show. So got them mounted and installed and somewhat dialed in the suspension so it was driveable lol. It looked a little goofy but it was ony for short time.

The day of the show I went in early to lower the car and clean it. I was super pumped how everything turned out for being my first car show and considering the deadline I had.
Here are some of the shots from the show..

downforce carbon side splitters!! I wasn't comfortable drilling into the underbody with the hardwre provided. So I used some "nutserts." (Not sure the actual name of these but thats what everyone at my work has been calling them lol.) I drilled 3 holes on either side into the body, place the "nutsert" into the hole and with the special install tool it expands the nutsert in the hole while squishing it at the same time locking it in.

Wow super clean lbp man, everything looks awesome. Great parts and quality work on the build so far, keep it up....love the SSR's
