Love the bluetooth air filter. Should work really well with the bluetooth splash tray.

Hood is going back on soon, waiting on hood struts. Should be on later this week. As for air filter, I have the rest connected now. Runs under the passenger side headlight.

I remember following you when I was on Instagram back then. Your car is coming out really nice. Love the bay and what you did with the hardtop.

Thank you! Means a lot. Takes time but it’s all worth it in the end.

Took it to one of the larger European car shows in the Midwest yesterday, won top 16! Also replaced the thermostat, and installed NRG hood dampers earlier this last week. The dampers work great, and fit great. Hood sits perfectly flush. No complaintshttps://cimg0.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.s2k...75b76f4f0.jpeg. (Hood was half popped in the pic)

hey what tool did you use to make the initial hood cuts?? before you welded in the side pieces to make it a vent, howd you make those initial cuts?

mattsmysteriousmiata 12-02-2018 10:17 AM

I used an angle grinder very carefully... when I bent down the metal to create the vent, it put a lot of stress on the metal and created a lot of waviness on the hood. It took a lot of body work to make it perfect. *also, haven’t posted on here in a while. The car was photographed for the supeestreet magazine a month or so ago, and should be in the next issue. Very excited!*
