Default danio: 2006 GPW AP2 build thread

I just cant stay away from this car.. back with a third S2000 and will likely be keeping this one for a long duration.. Going to try to document this one as some have asked me if I will be making a build thread. I'll try to keep this up to date with the stuff I do..

A little background, I came from an RSX Type S which I had from 2005 to 2008. I sold it to pick up what some of you guys may remember; my first MY05 S2000 in 2008;

I sold that car and picked up an Integra Type R in 2010. In 2011 after tinkering with the ITR, I decided I needed another S2000 so the ITR was sold and I picked up what most of you guys will remember; my MY04 S2000;

I sold that car to buy a bucket list of cars.. Acura NSX, E46 M3, E90 M3, and Porsche Cayman S to name a few, but always said the S2000 was the best car I owned.. Well after I sold the Cayman S a couple months ago, I was pretty much only hunting for S2000's.

I was able to find a 2006 S2000 - GPW on black, from Edmonton for a decent price. I had my boy Trung inspect the car. He said it was a good buy and I was able to negotiate a fair deal and had the car shipped to me in Toronto.

Here it is being unloaded in front of my work. I was pretty damn excited!

Here it was after a quick wash.. my daily driver M3 behind

The interior was filthy. It was as if the previous owner never vacuumed and had the car parked top down at all times... I wish I took a before shot, but here is a pic while I was cleaning.

All done.. + J's Racing shift knob from my previous S2000

While I had the seat out when cleaning, I also put in the BYS seat rail from Evasive, as the stock seating position is just too high for me. I got this piece as I am still not sure what seat to run. I have a Recaro Pole Position that I may use, but still deciding.

The engine bay cleaned up nice!

Here it is as of today.....

I have already started collecting parts.. I went with Megan Racing Track coilovers as I did with my previous 2 S2000's. I know they're not the best, but I absolutely loved them when I had it on the other S2000's. Also, for the price, I cannot say no. Some other stuff that came...

17x9.5 +35 CE28N from Hiep s2sik. Thanks homie!

Amuse R1 resonated

I have a few other small stuff but I'll update this once I start to work on the car. I am in the midst of a move and the S2000 will only be worked on when I get some free time.

I'm happy to be back!!!
