Do you think the NRG hub/release coupled with a deep dish would sit better than the straight wheel? Or was it too far away because of the Recaro?
The Nardi Deep Corn 350mm was the wheel I wanted originally and I still might end up buying it because I think it would be right in the middle of what I have now, and with the spacer added. I bought the Tuner because I paid $180 new for it since my friends shop had one on their boxing day sale, it was an impulsive buy.
For $180 it's baller though, just tough with finding the right spacer is all. I figured a deep wheel might be more comfortable distance wise

Thanks, Marco. Can't wait to take some pictures of your car in the spring!

I agree, so that's why this afternoon I was bored and took the Momo Mod 08 wheel out of my beater and put it into the S2k just to see how things feel. I have to say it's 1000x's better. I like that it's closer but not crazy close, and I like how you hold the steering wheel further up around 10-2 as opposed to the Tuner having the grips at 8-4. Sure these deep dish wheels don't look as classy as a Tuner or Mod 78, but I can't get over how comfortable it felt holding the wheel.

The funny thing is that the Tuner + Spacer is exactly the same as the Mod 08, but since you hold the steering wheel at a different position with each wheel, they feel totally different.

I might just put the Tuner up for sale and grab a Nardi Deep Corn 350mm or a Mod 78 and use my spacer, as this Momo Mod 08 looks incredibly tacky in my interior so it's going back in the GSR.

Damn that looks good I think it fits much nicer than the Tuner?

How deep of a dish is your Mod 08?

I've never liked the nardi wheels in the s2k for some reason. That was like the wheel that all the drift kids had in their 240s and I think it's permanently tainted it for me.

It's one of those scenarios where it's not that it looks bad, it's just that there are other options that look better.

Ha, thanks dude! The Mod 08 has a 90mm offset and the Nardi has a 80mm offset.

Hahah, yeah I totally know what you mean, Steve.

But at this point it's one of those things that feels better than looks, maybe the Mod 78 like you have will feel better than the Tuner but I love how you hold the Nardi/Mod 08 at a higher point on the wheel, it's much more comfortable.

For now I've put the 2" Sparco spacer back in and I'm liking the distance again. I think I didn't like how close the wheel was last time I installed it because I wearing my winter coat while working on the car, so tried it again with a t-shirt (while freezing my balls off in the garage) and it's comfortable. I just need to get 6 more bolts to hold the spacer on. So my setup now is NRG Clockspring Compatible Short Hub + 2" Sparco Spacer + NRG 2.0 QR + Momo Tuner, LOL.

Picked up the Volks! They look EPIC in person, I can't capture the colour perfectly with my camera, and even with post production they look nothing like they do in person. They're fantastic.

Thanks Chris! I'm super pleased with them.

New page, so I'll add more pictures! The replacement decals should be here in a few days.
