Mines road is a real nice drive, haven't been there since I first got my S About 5 years ago.
Your cars looking bad ass by the way . Hope to to see you at the track some time
Yea I love going from East San Jose up Route 130 up to the Lick Observatory and then head east to hit mines road. Pretty epic drive. Which track events do you normally attend? I'm usually at SpeedSF events. I'll be at Laguna this Saturday.
I'll be there too. I'll try to say high.

Your garage is beautiful.

Beautiful car and pictures. I think its funny so many people go from m3 to s2k. Must really be the driving experience.

Do you have to remove the plastic radiator air guide to install the cooling plate??
Yea the driving experience on the s2000 is definitely better if you really know how to drive. Nothing needs to be removed to install the cooling plate. The radiator guide was cut for the Mugen intake though.
I actually just went the other direction. Bought a Alpine White E46 a month and a half ago for a daily and planning on using my Spa Yellow for more auto-x. I think it should be the other way around every time I fill up the M3 though. The S gets much better mileage.

Sweet! I'll be in one of the garages that day. Are you in the blacktrax run group? I just signed up through speedsf.

Congrats! M3's of all generations are fantastic cars to drive. It's a nice complement to the s2k. More comfort, yet still fun to drive. I was planning on doing the same, but after 5 years of the m3 and various issues, I just wanted to try something else which is why I'm trying to pick up a GT4. I need to own a mid engine and rear engine at some point.

The top part of the inside front grill area that sits right below the front bumper support was sort of vibrating at idle that started making a really annoying sound at idle, but easily fixed with a little bit of foam.

Probably the biggest change in NVH with the mounts is just the overall increase in volume from everything. You hear everything just a little more, engine, transmission, exhaust, and so on. I don't know why but I really like the extra transmission noise.
Thanks for the review Andrew! I poked through your thread yesterday and saw you got them and read your review. My car has ~45k miles on it, but I'm contemplating swapping out the mounts sooner than later because I can definitely feel a fair bit of slop in the existing mounts. I definitely don't want to sit in a rock shaker when I drive it on the street. It sounds like the Spoon mounts should be perfect for me. In my old integra I had some ES mount inserts (that filled the gaps in the OEM rubber stock mounts) and they were perfect in terms of removing the slop and not adding too much vibration.

I'm not sure what I'm going to do with the diff mounts. I'm contemplating just DIY filling the OEM mounts with polyurethane to save a few bucks over the spoon mounts, as they shouldn't cause as much vibration as engine mounts, but maybe I'll just go with the spoon. Maybe if I can find a local with some old busted mounts (or just do it on my mounts) I can fill them and try some filled OEM mounts and try it out first. Thanks for the review!

I think if you happen to find the engine mounts causing too much vibration, you could run just the transmission and diff mounts still with very good effect. Definitely recommend the whole package though.
