The Smurf 9K Progress Thread
Welp, this isn't a build thread per se, as I won't be tearing the engine or car apart anytime soon. But I wanted to make a thread so I could document the progress I've made and will be making. If anything it'll help remind me when I need to change the oil next LOL
And so it begins:
Purchased 12/24/12. Christmas Eve.
Car came with very few but very quality mods from the previous owner. GReddy Spectrum Elite Dual catback, Cusco radiator cooling plate, K&N intake, and Eibach springs.
First pictures:
Here it is with my soon to be sold heavily modified SVT Contour
I took the front plate off day 1...yeah it left a mark LOL
First purchases:
CR clear sidemarkers, 04-05 AP2 radio door, OEM bumper plugs purchased 1/14/13
Replaced serpentine belt with OEM CR AC delete 1/21/13
Group A Motoring OEM replica AP1 lip purchased 1/31/13
Replaced rear pads and rotors with OEM. Brake fluid bled and replaced with ATE Super Blue. Oil, Trans fluid, diff fluid changed 3/17/13 81,739 miles
Windshield tape removed. My buddy snuk his RSX up and took some pics.
First autocross with the S2k 4/7/13
OEM vented hood by local S2ki member 4/21/13
on the way home off the GW Parkway
Valve adjustment & axle nut retorgue 5/3/13 83,529 miles
All four fenders rolled 5/25/13
Sold the GReddy SE 5/30/13

Just wanted to update this, did a decent amount of work to the car this week and want to keep track of it all.
Sold the J's Exhaust. TOO LOUD OMG
Got the EVS Tuning 70-SSP exhaust in and installed it immediately along with a Berk 70MM TP 6/26/13 84,750 miles
6/29- picked up a used Heeltoe single exhaust cap from a local. Had cancelled the previous order because I sold the J's exhaust. Also ordered a set of Muteki blue open ended lugs. Only 21mm in length so they'll easily fit under the centercaps of the Works.
7/4- Picked up an OEM lip w/hardware, Moddiction Anvil 2 shift knob, and OEM tonneau cover from a local S2ki member
7/6- had the tires mounted and balanced at PTuning. However they damaged the seal on a couple of them so those are still pending as of today
Had the car on stands the past couple days and installed all of the above, relocated the rear bumper tabs (using extra hardware from the OEM lip, worked great), fixed the exhaust leak on the new EVS, checked and tightened the subframe bolts, and bled the clutch with ATE Super blue 7/7-7/9/13 85,038 miles
Quick pic with the new wheels, really doesn't do them justice.
To do list:
-regrease shifter
-change coolant (still looks green and clean, but it's the last fluid I haven't changed)
-change spark plugs
-new top straps
-sell the OEM rep lip I got
-MOAR LOW
-clear side diffusers
