Dear Friends You are invited to attend the 14th Semi-annual S2000 Arkansas Boston Mountains Tour Fall 2013. The Fall 2013 Tour will cover some of the best winding and scenic roads that the Arkansas Boston Mountains range have to offer. These roads can offer something challenging to even the most experienced drivers.
All drivers are given a tour packet, that will have your group number, route turn-by-turn directions, lunch and dinner maps (if applicable). The Arkansas Boston Mountains Tour is one of the best environments for you to fully enjoy what your car was made to do, TURN! We look forward to seeing you there!

Wow... I had no idea that this was up already. Found out about it on the Caffeine and Gasoline drive up in Eureka today. Super that the event continues to go ON and THRIVE!!!! Please count me in as Tentative (need to confirm I will be in state/country at the time).

For those of us that can't make the Fall BMT this year, how did the Pre-drive go? What route will you be using (if you can post it that would be great for those with a gps). I'll be down next week for a few days, and would like to drive some of the route that I can't do on November 9th.

Scott, Sorry, the route of each new BMT is not revealed until just a few minutes before the event starts. After the event ends, JulieU can email you the Turn-by-Turn Route Instructions.
This Fall BMT'13 does have two highway sections that have never been included in the routing of any previous BMT events. The pre-drive went off in beautiful (cool) weather with no problems. Excellent fall colors are expected to peak during the 9-10 November weekend if no hard freeze happens before then. We are all expecting a great BMT event!

I brought mt Dad - who is in his seventies - on several BMTs. He had an absolute blast. I did catch him trying to pull the ejection handle a couple of times on the first one!

lol, my dad isnt that old, close tho. but he does enjoy cars. as soon as i told him i was gonna go, he got excited for me. then i was like, do you want to come with?! he didnt even ask when, just said he would love to. so now i got a camera guy! lol.

Who is calling someone in their 70's as old? :suspect: I am 77 years young and anyone who thinks otherwise is welcome to follow me in my supercharged S2000 on this BMT. :drive:

I've tailed him on the BMT a couple times and never fails: right when I think I'm closing the distance, turns out it's because he's on Andy's bumper waiting to pass a slow-moving vehicle. Lol.

oh, i wasnt calling anyone old, just he isnt as old as SimonRL's dad lol. i do look forward to meeting all of you! this will be first time getting together with this many s2k owners like this. im so excited :LOL:

Be careful inviting your dad. I did that in 2010 on a 3 day TX Hill Country event. One day I swapped with him for a little bit and let him drive. He was hooked. 9 days later he bought a WRX, and within the year had it modded, tuned, etc. and a few of you have met him as he's come on a few BMTs in his own car. The BMT has been a great way to see him and hang out (he's in Kansas City & I in Dallas).

I'm in +1! For Oklahoma :) I will be bringing a friend as of right now.

You all know your cars, and if it is not 100% mechanically sound, please do not attempt to "press your luck" , it's not worth it. We are traveling in a lot of very rural areas where there isn't much. Better to be safe than sorry.

ntenseone, My co-driver for Fall BMT'13 attended a 3-day high-speed driving course for open-wheel formula cars two years ago. If he hadn't gone thru a high-speed driving school and be such an expert performance driver, he would just be a passenger in my S2000 come this Saturday. The weather this Saturday for NW Arkansas will be perfect for the Fall BMT'13 event.

The weather in NW Arkansas on Saturday, 9 Nov, will be sunny with low Friday night expected to be 42 deg. F. and high Saturday about 65 deg. F. The fall colors should peak that weekend in NW Arkansas.

How is this thread not bouncing with activity. I'm chomping at the bit down here. :banghead:

Suffering through the work day because I am all packed and ready to hit the road at 5pm this evening.
Driving to Dumas, AR and then leisurely drive tomorrow up Hwy 7 via Hot Springs.
Expect beautiful day and foliage.

WHEN WILL THURSDAY END! IT'S NOT EVEN 4:00 YET!!!

Add me to the list. I'll be driving this one in my Integra. My S isn't ready for action yet: dashboard is out while I replace the heater core (and some A/C parts while I'm at it).

I'll be happy to keep the tail gunner company. My brakes are good and will have new tyres but the only other mods my non-VTEC wonder has is springs & dampers. No change sway bars yet, just OEMs.

Will probably get in to Harrison late in the evening.

Car checked out. New battery installed. Brand new shoes installed. Ready set GO. I am excited... very excited. I cannot wait.
- Cannot wait to see old friend.

- Cannot wait to see beautiful colors.
- Canot wait wot drive my S where it should be driven (within my limits).
