Default 93 octane gas

Hey guys. My name is Paul and I live in Mobile, Alabama. I was recently visiting my girlfriend in California for 2 weeks, and I noticed that every gas station we went to only had up to 91 octane gas. She is a travel RN and her apartment is in Sunnyvale and she is working at the Stanford Medical Center in Palo Alto. I really enjoyed the area and Being an RN myself, I am in the process of applying for my California RN license and getting a travel assignment there as well. I was a bit concerned because every gas station here in Alabama has 93 octane and my car has never seen anything less. So, I was wondering if anyone knew of any gas stations around the area that had 93 octane? And also, if some of y'all use 91 octane regularly and can you tell a difference? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I think you might want to delete the duplicated thread.
Anyway, everyone here runs 91 and has no problem. There are gas stations have higher octane(like 95 and up) but why pay the price when 91 works just fine?

and welcome to the bay area!

93 doesn't really exist here in California. 91 is perfectly fine and it says so in the manual.

I believe Oregon has 93 Octane gas. But that's quite a drive from the bay area.

Running 110 is a good way to destroy your cat as it is leaded

Not the same. Their octane rating system is different. AKI (US) vs RON (UK).
