Default 94 Octane

I figured since I'm putting premium fuel in my car, I may as well put in 94, since well... I don't know how rich I'm running, but figured at high rpms it can't hurt, right?

But none of the gas stations here seem to sell 94...

...
is 94 a Canadian thing?

Your correct. I ran 93 octane in my S2000 for 4 years and it was just like 91 here in California. 94 is no different.

So bottom line is stick with 91.

$$ down the drain if you're either not modded or lightly modded

You'd be wasting money going higher than 91. Unless you can increase the compression of your engine with tons of tuning, you should not use 91 octane.

Even if you are getting unleaded, you're just going to get higher EGT's if you can't advance the timing which will just wear your CAT down faster.

76 at alameden/foxworthy has 100 octane, but WHY WOULD YOU DO THIS?? I performed a 95 vs 91 octane comparo and found that 91 octane had more timring than 95.... try it, goto foxworthy/alemden and then plug into your obd2 mon and you'll see simliar results
