Just got an '03 S2K, so I need to get to know this car 'at the limit'....wondering if anyone can point me in the direction of a local Auto x meet. Im in Marin Co. so anywhere in or around San Francisco would work. Thanks guys.

Thanks for the input guys. Yea some track time would be nice....my last car was a Porsche Carrera which I raced at Laguna Seca, Thunderhill and Infinion and prior to running on those tracks I did 6 months Auto X which was invaluable - you get to make the mistakes that you can not afford to make at the track.

American Auto-X will be holding their 2009+ schedule's at Alameda NAS. Courses will be designed by 5 time National Champ, and while you still need a valid drivers license you dont need a seperate license like SCCA. The courses will more than likely be 3rd gear courses that are fast and flowing.

Is that official? I didn't think that anything was settled yet. There's nothing on the web site about it. It would definitely be awesome.

The SCCA thing isn't really a license, just a membership card. They don't train you or test you or anything, they just take your money.

Autocrossing in the area generally gets started in early February.
SCCA has a schedule for most clubs.
American Autocross Series
Lotus Club runs in Marina.
NorCal UFO does too.

Yes John, from what I heard it was singed sealed and delivered. But ya never know, the person who told me could be wrong.

Forgot about the most important site http://baautox.com/forum/index.php
that is a forum dedicated to autox and open track events in the bay area.
