Default Debadging Problem

So last weekend I went to debadge the 'S2000" emblem on the side of my car. The emblem came off fine, but the residual glue is giving me some problems.

No matter how many times I use the bug/tar remover the glue wont come off. When I took off the "S" the glue left on the paint was still sticky and the bug/tar remover worked just fine. When I took off the "2000" the glue left on the paint was hard.

I've tried heating it, the bug/tar remover, and WD40 nothing is working.

any suggestions?

Thanks

is it a big portion left on there? i know goo gone really works well not sure about bug/tar remover. also if its small portions you can use a clay bar.

I'd say like 80% of the glue under the "2000" emblem wont come off

Alcohol and a towel, rub vigorously.

I did it and no problems with my paint.

Just don't let the alcohol soak in your paint, try and get it to only soak in the residue.

Goo gone. Don't rub like mad on your paint .. you'll just end up scratching it and putting on more swirls

just use a combination of paint safe adhesive remover, and cleaner wax, rub rub rub rub rub rub

then repeat 1000x

then a clay bar/finger tips will work for the minimal residue

took me 4+ hours to change all my badges, my hands were slightly bleeding, but they came off! gl
