I was just up there during my lunch break and there were must have been 100+ goats up there. For fire prevention to eat the brush I assume. Good photo op for you photo junkies! theres only a plastic fence surrounding them. I wonder how they keep em from running away.... I don't know how long they will be there for so don't miss out.

 

Oh wow... i'd better go check that out! Yeah there was a fire there a week or so ago!

They've got 'em here twice a year at Mt. Trashmore (Sunnyvale).

 

ive seen them by the oakland, and in areas of hayward.... CA is doing that so the goats eat all the dry grass to prevent fires.... hahaha...

it ain't free. you have to paid for them to ship these goats to your lo-cal so they can get a free lunch

 

I see them everywhere. They help in many ways, the eat the dry grass to prevent fires. They leave there poop to fertilize the ground and last they have free lunch and the owner gets paid to just chill and watch his goats.
