Default Hardtop. Is it worth it?

Hey guys, first off I like to say hi to everyone. I recently just purchased my first s2000! It is a MY05 Sebring Silver!! Having a blaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaast!

Anywho, here my problem. I bought the car, the original seller through in a Sebring Silver Hardtop. The thing is he didnt include the things that holds the pins in the back in place. Long story short, I never really wanted a hartdtop anyways. My cousin just offered me $900 cash for it, so I was wondering is it worth it? I have no clue on how much these things actually go for (my flame suit is on lol). so please someone help me out, thanks!

Just keep it in case you change your mind later. OEM hardtops are usually worth 1500+w/o hardware.

thanks for the quick reply! well the thing is Ive always hated the look of a hardtop. defeats the purpose of a drop top, TOP ALWAYS DOWN!!! and I really dont have the room in my garage to store it. So with what you said is it a bad idea to sell it to him?

It a bad idea to sell it. Especially that cheap. 1500-up for a hard top with out the hardware. Is it in good condition. Man see, now i regret selling mine. Dont make the same mistake I did.

Since its your cousin, selling price is up to you. I would say $900 for a good condition hardtop is a steal. You can definitely sell it for $1300-$1500. Base on your comment above. It seem that you don't need a hardtop nor will you ever use it.

I'd probably sell it to my cousin for like $1k. It's family and I'd hook up my family.

The hardware is another $3-400ish

i'd say just buy the hardware if you're going to keep it and just take it off when it's summer time =]
