what about cops bothering you? i know this sytem is legal but how do i prove this to the a-hole to pulled me over saying my exhuast is too loud and sounds illegal?

i know i go to court and get it checked off but i need to go get it tested to have proof its legal, is there anything that you can have to show the cop its legal b4 he gets a chnace to give you a fix it ticket?

I don't know if I'm going to be able to help but everytime I drive my car around the bay area I haven't had a cop tag me for my exhaust...knock on wood. But i'm sure if you have your silencers in you will definately pass the exhaust test. I think the exhaust is loud but not that loud. If you keep the car in certain rpms the exhaust can be kept at its minimal.

If you go to one of the sound test locations, they can test you and give you some type of certificate that you are legal.

Question....How do you know that the Invida is legal? Did someone say it was? I'm asking cause no way in hell that thing is under the 97 dbl limit. My HKS was tested at 105 dbl and it's not even as close to being as loud as the Invida. Even my T1R was over 100 dbl. You might be able to pull it off with the sliencers in but i don't know.

When I had my civic with a Greddy SP exhaust, I had a sheet of paper stating that my exhaust was under the 97 dbl law making it legal. So every time I got pulled over I just showed them that thing and they let me go.

Actually alot of it depends up how you do the test...you must measure sound from a prescribed distance....AND....the volume is only that of 2/3 or 3/4 of max power(8300RPM) for 2.0L(7500RPM) for 2.2L. BTW you can test with silencers get the sheet of paper and pull them out(but you didn't hear me say that)
