isn't having a fake ID a federal offense? (i'm not sure though)

but i have a couple friends who got their shit confiscated and they never got into trouble.. i dont think they really go that far to call the people becuase they would assume the people's names and addresses are fake

you won't get into trouble, they will just throw it away most likely.

ok so here's a LONG reply.

most places i know of don't turn over fake id's to the cops, but some obviously do. if you're lucky, they (D&B) will just throw it away. The fact that you weren't arrested or cited is a good sign since D&B typically have cops around on fridays and saturdays for this type of stuff.

now for the ugly stuff. (note: this should not be taken/used as legal advice.)

from what I recall... anyone caught in CA having and using a fake ID is subject to one or any combination of the following:

1) $250 fine (usually)
2) Community Service
3) Jail time
4) Possible Suspension of Driver

well if the police do contact you, DO NOT ADMIT GUILT. The only reason they are going to contact you is to build a case on you if they were to. So if they do call etc just say that you will not answer any questions and you need a lawyer, but honestly i think your alright.

since no police made a report at the scene of the crime
deny everything, plain and simple.

yeah don't say anything to anyone, it'll be hard for them to build a case against you if you don't cooperate. i think the cops have bigger fish to fry though
