Default My Idea of a CO...

To start, I don't want to be a CO and I certainly don't want to see the new fellas and the old fellas clash over a stupid title. Trust me, when you go to any Honda dealership along the Bay Area and claim a title on S2Ki.com, you're not entitled to any discounts. With that said my ideal CO guy or girl should:

1. Really like people. Have no qualms walking up, greeting people, share a laugh, chit chat.

2. Understand the car. Not just know where the secret compartment is, but know some basic problem shooting i.e. resetting lights, change a wheel, check oil, call for help. These are necessary in case a group drive goes wrong.

3. Likes to drive. I don't mean driving down to the local massage parlour like yours truly, but someone who on weekends will go and explore new routes, takes the time to design a route.

4. Good with instructions. Designing a route is one thing, being clear with the plan and ability to give specific directions so other groups don't get lost is important.

5. Understands geography. Good with planning things not just in the South Bay but in the North Bay too. Almost every meet nowadays is in Milpitas, Cupertino, San Jose, Fremont... how about some in the City? Too cheap to drive to all those events down there...

6. Has other hobbies. Driving is one thing, but I'd like my future CO to share other hobbies other than meet at a fast food restaurant to talk. The CO must like FOOD, fun, comedy clubs, movies, clubbing, photography, poker card clubs etc etc. Meets don't have to be car related, it can be an outing. Like a massage parlour meet GET TO KNOW WHAT PEEPS LIKE TO DO!

7. Be cool. Don't be overly righteous and don't be sensitive. Know when a joke's a joke. Also know how to handle a situation like if CHP were to pull us all over??? Or defend any member who's caught exiting a massage parlour on tape...

8. Be yourself. Don't try to be someone you're not. Relax.

9. Provide help and hookups to people you know might need it or would be interested. For instance, hooking me up with their sister or their friend's mother's sister whatever... think community. Good karma by the way.

10. Be contactable. Be down to do anything.

Finally if it ever comes down to a tie, let's all just STFU and let the nominees do a 1/4 mile drag and race it out. Hey, at the end of the day this is a "car" forum and the most appropriate thing to do.

Peace.
