Default Oil change

Call me stupid but I don't know how to change the oil on my car... yes yes it's shameful, but I can't seem to find the owner's manuel either. Can any of you tell me or if possible help me (show me) how the change my the oil on my car?? I always went to the oil change place to change my oil for my old cars, but for the S I want to change it on my own. I'm planning to put Synthetic oil in, I'll buy you lunch if anybody's willing to help heheh no flames just asking for help.

If you can wait a couple of weeks you might get lots of helpful info at the upcoming Tech day another thread in the BA Forum). I believe the host doesn't want fluids exchanged (!) at this session, but I'm sure you could at least get someone to show you which things to tweak when you get back.

Are you sure its 5 quarts? Mine takes 5.5 quarts... I use 5, start the engine run it for about2 minutes. Wait 5 minutes, then check and it is always in the middle to lower part of the min/max X's.

I remember a thread where they said the FSM was a missprint... Here is what I found... Mine always take 5.5 and I'm still below the max line... I always fill till its 3/4 up the dip stick markings...

5.5 qts is what most people have found. It settles after the original fill.

Also, ramps will work too is they are low profile enough to get the S2000 onto (ie. Rhino ramps)

Thanks for all the replies!

It seems to me it costs me money to buy filter and crush washer. Is it really a better deal if I just buy the Mobil 1 oil and then ask jiffy lube to change oil with it with the new filter supplied by them?

The owner's manual says 33 lbf-ft. So, which is correct?

Thanks,
