Problem with a SoCal s2ki memeber...
So i recently traded my ASM 70ss single exhaust for a Js 70RR with a socal s2ki member as a straight trade. My exhaust was the same one i purchased off "s2kforlife" Mike who purchased it off "washabis2k" Brian who i believe bought it off "brians2000". Anywho after about a month and half i get a texted from "VitaRenovatio" his name is Nam and hes from socal saying that his car didnt tune right at Shaun Church's place because i had traded him a 61mm ASM exhaust mated with a 70mm test pipe instead of a 70mm ASM one. He told me he knew this because he had the exhaust measured at Evasive down in san diego which as we all know is a very reputable shop down there. Now i know the exhaust didnt shrink on him or anything and i just want to make things right and resolve this because everyone whos dealt with me knows im a stand up guy and im not out to screw anyone over. Anyway this is what he suggests:
So here are my options:
1) Trade the ASM 60 back for your J's 70RR... I'd gladly take the J's 70RR over a 60mm exhaust, even if it is super loud. I'll even drive up to Norcal to trade back.
2) I try to sell the ASM 60 in the SoCal FS forum, and you can cover any deficit below $900, which is what I paid for the J's exhaust. If I can get $900 for it, you don't owe me anything. If I get only $700, then you owe me $200.
3) You can pay me the price difference between an ASM 60 and ASM 70. According to Gotuning's website, the retail price of the ASM 60 is $1300 and the ASM 70 is $1900. That means the ASM 60 is 1300/1900 = 68% the value of the ASM 70. So multiply 68% by $900, and the result is $615. So you can pay me $900 minus $615 = $284.
I think these are all fair options, you can pick which one is most appealing to you.
So I dont know what to do because i know the exhaust i gave him is a 70mm but i want to resolve this and im looking for suggestions on how to handle this. Any imput of advice would help thanx guys and i hope I can reslove this soon!!

ill vouch for you homie, bought ny minty fresh rpf's no problems yet and there still 17's!!! no shrinkage here, i say have someone from evasive possibly the person who measured it confirm this, if possible post pics on the forums for everyone to see, if he's not lying evasive should have no problem with it well idk,but yeah i would want proof before any arrangements!
To be honest, he had a month to put the exhaust on and then he wanted to trade back after tuning because he didn't make the power he wanted. I'm sure that Church told him that he would make more power with a exhaust that is a header back w/o a resonator. I've heard the facts of what was going on and I think that you aren't liable for paying him anything. You guys met up and exchanged exhausts. He would be able to tell that a 60mm ASM exhaust piping is VERY different than the J's 70RR. He didn't notice because they are both 70mm exhausts!
With 3 previous owners, and 2 guys who are pretty much ASM guru's in NorCal, I think they will vouch that the exhaust is a 70mm; just as I can vouch that it is a 70mm.

a straight trade is a straight trade, and he wants a refund or difference... i mean is he sure that evasive measured it correctly? just because it's a big name doesn't mean they are 100% correct. i say the brians should confirm on the size of the piping.
It was an even trade. He also got a chance to check out the exhaust in person when the trade happened. You don't owe him anything. I would understand if this happened the same or next day but c'mon, it been a month and half.

A 60mm and 70mm exhaust are totally different. One would notice it immediately so I don't think you are liable for anything. Face to face trade so if something didn't jive the trade should have been called off. I would contact Evasive and ask if someone actually measured the exhaust in question.
