The problem with deactivating K band is that other law enforcement agencies use K band radar detectors, all though its rare.

so you should deactivate the K band in your detector then.
***as stated at the bottom of the page.
(is that easily done?)
Look in your manual, it should be easy to turn off any band.

Yeah it's easily done. If you have a V1 it's also on their website.

I'm reluctant to do this because it *isn't* rare. Though CHP use Ka (the article *claims* exclusively) city cops tend to use K. I guess they haven't sprung the $$ for the newer models.

The drones are VERY annoying but they don't sound anything like a cop's radar. It's a very intense blast that is over in seconds. You also get to know where they are on commutes.

I'm leaving alone for now and will review at time goes on.

Bastids.

LOL!

You can notice one if you're travelling West on 580 to the right high on a pole *immediately* after you go under the Hopyard overpass.

There are several down Lmore way too.

I've only personally ran into one city cop what was using K band in recent memory. Livermore, Pleasanton, Dublin are all Ka.

Huh... interesting. I thought Ptown used K. Walnut Creek uses K.

Perhaps they use both.

In fact I *know* Ptown uses K... I encounter a cop in the morning on Santa Rita hiding with his radar at Mohr and Santa Rita. It's a K definitely.

Well I stand corrected then. I've never picked up K band in Pleasanton, only Ka.
