I measured my front rotors last night, my front rotors are about 24mm thick.

At what thickness do they need to be replaced?

I don't recall the exact number but it says it on the inside edge of the rotor.

Service manual says rotor service limit min 23mm F, 10mm R.

So far my front stock one has been turned twice already, it's pretty close to the min limit...

Interesting. So the min limit is 23 after turning? As in you can wear it below 23mm or that 23mm is the limit to remove them?

Any idea how many mm's it takes to wear a set of pads down?

I got the car with almost new pads, but clearly not new rotors.

It means at 23mm it should be taken out of service. Service Limit.

It depends on the pads and driving style. My guess would be three sets of pads per rotor. Just guess :)

Looks like its time to replace them.

Think I can just slap on new rotors? I've got only 10K on the new pads.

If they're badly grooved then just sand them down a bit. If not then yea not a problem.

Well I replaced the front rotors. After pulling the old ones off the 24mm I measured was way off. I was well below that. There was a 2-3mm lip on the leading edge.

Ended up with new rotors and pads. Just couldn't bring myself to put used pads on new rotors.

Have to say the honda oem pads are pretty nice, I hope I do not regret the Hawk HPS pads. They just don't 'bite' as hard, or maybe the require breaking in.

Not sure what HPS are or where they rank as far as HP+ but I have HP+ and they have more initial bite than stock but fade much earlier than stock.
