if you're still under warranty, i'd try to take it to the dealer. i had mine fixed for free under warranty at larry hopkins in sunnyvale without really any stress.

Premier Auto tops and Upholstery is located on El Camino Real near the DMV. I was going to get my top serviced there some time ago, but decided to hold off since it was summer.

If my memory serves me right, they quoted me a pretty pricey amount. But then he was quoting me to repair drivers and passengerside.

My top has maybe a clean 1in slight on the drivers side, and a little pea sized hole on the passenger side. He told me they would sew up the tear, and then patch the underneth side with more fabric so the stress would be on the patch rather than the roof itself.

The service time was quoted to be around less than a day's job.

All in all, they are quite expensive IMO, but then again they are a Diamond Certified shop.

Here is their website info

Hope this helped. Let me know if you decide to go with them, and what they end up quoting you.

Thanks

Jason

I asked them how much it would be to reinforce my top around the usual wear points (no tear yet, starting to show rips) and quoted me somewhere around $200. I said no thanks. Went down the street to Vargas upholstery and they did the job for me for $20 bucks. You might want to check them out.
