Default Softop motor install

So when I bought the car, the previous owner had completely taken out the motor and frame. I was wondering if anyone on here knows either a shop or has some experience to put it in for me? Compensation will be discussed, but I definitely want to put a soft top back into the car.

As for softop material, I will be buying a robbins top or try to find an oem one

We have done quite a few and there is no easy way to put it but it takes quite a bit of time/labor.

If you are missing the entire frame + motors, we recommend trying to find it used because those parts are not cheap. We have a Spa AP2 coming in for a full new soft top due to vandalism. Shame since the car was pristine otherwise. In his case the frame and motors are there and removing the soft top off the frame is a true PITA.

It's actually slightly easier if you find a full soft top intact on a frame and swap the entire setup over, my 2 cents.

More questions, PM us.

If you get the motor/frame intact, it's easy to do and should be done in a single day. Should be 3-4 hours of real work done in a period of 8 hours if you've worked on cars leisurely before. I did the exact install you're talking about (OEM top installed into a car that was gutted previously) and it was 3-4 hours of total work. Super straight forward and there are several guides online.

Anyone with any experience putting in the whole assembly back into the car? Just purchased a softop attached to the motor and frame and looking to get it put back into my car asap.

Do you still have all the plastics? Chances are good you'll need some new fasteners along the way.
