Default some help guys?

hey guys i need a quick answer. my cars dropped on nuspeed springs. im running ap1 rims 245/45/16 in the rears and 205/55/16 fronts. the problem is im about to buy new tires for rainy season but i want to run the gforces. the closest size to the rear is a 245/50/16. can someone help me out and give me some input. im not sure if this size will give me any troubble. i heard it will rub but rim and tire fitment isnt my thing. some help guys? i also posted in the wheel section but no luck so far. only 10 views on that one -_-

do your rears rub right now? running a 245/50 in the rear would mean that the sidewall would be a little bit thicker than a 245/45, but you also have to take into account that not all wheel manufacturers have the exact same size. in other words, a 245/50 yokohama can be the same size as a 245/45 bf goodrich

What tire are you running now?

How close is the tire right now to the wheel well? If you have at least 1/2 inch to spare, I doubt you will have any issues with any 245 tire.

The tread width for the BF G-Force is not listed on tirerack, but one thing I do know is that a 245/50 is taller than the OEM tire, meaning that your speedo will read a little bit low.

but how close is the tires tread from the actual fender? you also have to take into account that if your tires are bald, a new tire will have more tread on it and will also stick out a bit more.

Just like Vu and Brian said, if you have enough gap by the tire and the lip of the fender yuo should be fine.

Worst case, more camber.

i might be in the minority, but IMHO the AP1 rims limit you to OEM S02s

Ap1 rims don't really limit you. People just think that they have to keep the same contact patch area as OEM which then would leave you with S02s but I'm currently running G-force sports and I'm just using 225/45 in the rear. It really isn't as bad as people say it is. It's all about the driver and what they prefer. But I personally would not run with 50 aspec in the rear.
