Default Speeding ticket q's

Sup guys and gals. As the title implies, I got a speeding ticket a couple of days ago. Got caught ON RADAR by a cop going 57 in a 35 (Bernal road in south san jose).

So I have a question, hopefully someone can answer it because the search function didnt help me find what I was looking for.

I got a speeding ticket roughly 3 years ago, and straight up paid the fine, no traffic school, and my insurance rate went higher than Lindsay Lohan on a saturday night out. Just recently I had my insurance go down by $70. I know that if I take traffic school there would not be a point on my record (bittersweet considering I didnt take traffic school the first time I got a ticket). But would my insurance still go up?

Thanks in advance.

No, If you do the traffic school the point will not be reported and your insurance company will not see it.

Was the PO at the Jack in the box? If so I believe the limit is 40 there and doesn't reduce to 35 until Santa Teresa as far as I recall.
I don't think 5mph is going to help your 57 but maybe someone can chime in about that.

The 85th percentile is 45mph but 57 is still high

Sorry for the goofy post, was looking things up while posting lol

I just looked at my copy of the ticket. I stand corrected, speed limit was 40. You're absolutely right too, they were right after the overpass next to the jack in the box. Sneaky pigs lol.

Gotta pay the ticket & traffic school fees & youre clear for 18 months. If you get another ticket within 16month, you will no longer have the option for traffic school & will need to pay the fines + the point on your record is added.

I believe it's every 18 months before you can do traffic school again
