Hey s2ki, so today I drop off my girl to pick something up and next thing you know an ticket person behind me. So my question is, can ticket ppl give out double parking ticket with me in the car???? And without me knowing at all???? They didnt get out of they're car or whatsoever,but I know he's giving me a ticket because I saw him keep looking up and down at my plates..

 

where were you double parked? if it wasnt metered then i dont think you can get a ticket, the lines on the road for parking spaces that arent metered are more of "suggestions" than actual "legal" spots.

 

Don't have the answer to your question, but at least you didn't get an impending traffic (moving violation) because you're in the car (may be because your engine was off?).

i would just drive away if i saw that.... u cant pay a ticket you never recieved.. lol... i'd fight it if i did, mechanical car trouble, or handicap drop off..

 

I got a ticket stoping at a red zone in SF, while I was in the car with it running. It was mailed to me with comments, "Could not place citation in time due to car leaving" or some crap like that. I was like WTF!?

 

I was parked close to a stop light ( and it was red at the time thats why i couldnt just go or else i would of took off) and this is in Oakland.. This is not he first time me getting a ticket like this that's how I know he was writing me a ticket..

 

I want to know how can I fight it???? I know it's just $70, but the thing is that its like stealing money from me while I'm walking down the street you know!!!!!!

 

I tired driving away but I was stuck at a red light. They'll mail it you and if you don't pay you get one of those yellow things on your rear wheel if they see you on the streets next time

 

you mean a parking boot... lol thats if u have a certain amount of outstanding tickets... they wont boot your car for 1 ticket... to fight it, send in a letter with your statement and a person would approve of the hearing or not. As for a stating about unable to ticket due to vehicle leaving is simple by making up a story, but remember it has to be believeable, use the surroundings as proof, shops, pedestrians etc

"was a quick drop off, took no more than 1 second and left," or "stopped right before a stoplight for a second to drop off someone and was caught at the redlight when a ticket was issued, no possible way of moving" something like that, you just gotta know your way of BSing things.lol good luck
