Default tranny fluid and diff fluid with same pump?

I'm changing my tranny fluid and diff fluid this weekend. Is it ok to change my diff fluid with the same pump that I used on my tranny fluid change? Is there a way that I should clean it or should I just get another one instead?

the tranny fluid is a light oil so you should probably be able to get it all out of the line and pump without too much work.

dont try and clean it out with water, id rather have 1/10,000th of a quart of tranny oil in my diff instead of water droplets!

so if you are going to get one pump do the tranny first because the diff fluid is very heavy/thick and more likely to gunk up the pump.

i havent done the diff myself and i just used a 4ft piece of hose to gravity feed my tranny fluid when i did it. (pos pump was 10 bucks at pepboys).

i was thinking about giving a couple pumps of diff fluid through the pump to clear out the tranny fluid. You're right about the water.

I ordered my pump along with the diff fluid from hardtopguy.

Just put a couple of pumps of the diff fluid through it first.

you can use the same tube. i eventually bought two tubes because i was doing this often enough that spending $5 for a second tube wasn't an issue.
