Bobby pretty much said it all. Just pay whatever it is, and you will get a refund.

i wonder how this cancelled cancelled rebate refunds will be funded...or rather how the things in the budget will now be funded...sigh. as much as i like gettingmoney back, I dont want tax dollars going to schools and such (which keep many kids off the street and from damaging my car) to get underfunded and suddenly you got bored punk kids out vandalising and sh!t.

I just had to register my new S at the DMV this morning and the VLF is still in effect. They weren't sure when the fee's would no longer be collected at the jacked rate.

I think the way it stands now, people will be getting refunds amount of the increase paid. Details of this of course have yet to be worked out. As always the govt has great ways of implementing new taxes in a short period of time, yet no mechanism to give back some of that money later on when it's repealed (like they couldn't see this one coming...)

This means transfer of ownership/registration did not occur. You, as the previous registered owner are responsible for this to take place. DMV will not know/don't care if they have not received the transfer form. If this automobile gets in trouble (i.e. accident) you are responsible. If I were you, I'd go to DMV right now and correct it.
